🗓️ Your events cheat sheet

August 7, 2026

Hey, Salt Lake!

We've got a treat for you today. By now, you've probably heard of City Cast Salt Lake Neighbors, our membership program that helps support this newsletter and our daily podcast.

One of the best Neighbor perks is a weekly email with a curated roundup of local events, delivered every Monday so you can get ahead of your plans for the week.

Today, we're giving you a sneak peek. If you want to receive this email every week, become a member!

Can learning be exceptional and joyful?

Absolutely! At The McGillis School, learning is vigorous: dynamic, full of life, and enthusiastic! We believe in teaching students how to think critically, how to appreciate the value of every individual, and how to repair our world. From Kindergarten through 8th Grade, we guide and challenge courageous, capable learners who thrive in the classroom and beyond. Visit us to feel the McGillis magic for yourself! Private and group tours available.

Your City Could Be Better

While you're here may I make one more rec?

Listen to this week's episode of "Your City Could Be Better." It's City Cast's national podcast hosted by our CEO David Plotz and he'll be joined by the hosts of City Cast DC and City Cast Seattle to unpack the minor inconveniences of city life.

It's a fun episode and I think you'll enjoy it! Listen wherever you get your podcasts.
