What's CITY Talking About

State Democratic, Republican Convention Results
Republicans and Democrats held their nominating conventions on Saturday, as both parties prepare for a shake-up in Utah’s congressional delegation due to newly drawn maps.
Republicans met at Utah Valley University in Orem where delegates forced a primary runoff between state House Rep. Karianne Lisonbee and U.S. Rep. Blake Moore in Utah’s 2nd Congressional District, and between U.S. Rep. Celeste Maloy and Phil Lyman in the third district.
Democrats gathered in Sandy, where Liban Mohamed won delegates' favor in Utah’s 1st Congressional District. Mohamed now faces Ben McAdams, state Sen. Nate Blouin, and Michael Farrell in a runoff. Both parties will hold primary elections on June 23. [City Cast Salt Lake, KUER]
What’s Filming in Utah?
Five new film and TV productions have been approved for incentives to film in Utah. They include a musical, Hallmark Christmas movie, and season two of the CBS series “Marshals.” [ABC4]
