Utah Clean Energy Hearing
Utah’s Renewable Communities program, which would let people access 100% clean energy at affordable rates, is up for approval by the Utah Public Service Commission. Residents can attend the public hearing today, Dec. 16 at 6 p.m. in person or online. [Instagram]
New Third-Party Lawmaker
Utah has a new third-party lawmaker: Emily Buss of Eagle Mountain has been selected by the Forward Party to replace Sen. Daniel Thatcher following his resignation from the Utah Legislature. Buss will be just the third third-party lawmaker in state history. [Salt Lake Tribune 🔒]
Derby Depot Faces Closure
The future of roller derby in Salt Lake City is at risk as the Derby Depot in Salt Lake City may be closing after the landlord ends the lease in June. The Derby Depot is home to the Wasatch Junior Rollers and now the league is scrambling to find a new space. [FOX 13]
