Today is the deadline for the Trump administration to make a plan to fund SNAP (the federal government’s anti-hunger program) amidst the shutdown. The state of Utah committed $4 million to local food pantries, with weekly $500,000 allocations to the Utah Food Bank. [AP, FOX 13]

Will We Ever Get a TRAX to Utah County?
Utah County leaders and the Utah Department of Transportation clashed over the Point of the Mountain Transit Project, including a promised TRAX Blue Line to Silicon Slopes. The Mountainland Association of Governments agreed the TRAX extension will be reconsidered in the next environmental review. [Building Salt Lake 🔒]
Another Banned Book in Utah
Jay Asher’s “Thirteen Reasons Why” is the 19th book to be banned from all Utah public schools since a 2024 law required removal of books deemed “sensitive material.” [Salt Lake Tribune 🔒]
