One Person Dead After Severe Weather At SLC Music Festival
An attendee at Saturday's RedWest Music Festival died from her injuries while seeking shelter from a storm. Police report Ava Ahlander, 23, was hit by debris picked up by the wind from a nearby construction project. Saturday's show was ultimately canceled after an hours-long rain delay. [KSL.com]

Laziz announced the closure of their 200 South location (which includes their bar space, Back Door). Their last day open will be Tuesday, Oct. 21. Cafe Niche on 300 South also appears to be permanently closed. [Instagram, Reddit]
SLC Transportation Director To Leave
Salt Lake City transportation director Jon Larsen is stepping down after eight years to join the Utah Transit Authority.
