Salt Lake’s Best New Restaurants and Bars

Salt Lake has seen an influx of new coffee shops lately, each with its own unique twist. This month’s roundup goes out to all the caffeine addicts out there.
801 Coffee Roasters
Located next to the big apricot (peach/mango/booty) sculpture in the Marmalade neighborhood. They open at 6 a.m., which is earlier than most in Salt Lake, and they’ve got a pool table!
Mother
Mother is a coffee shop by day, bar by night, filling the space previously occupied by Alibi. It offers great vibes and great drinks. (21+)

Mexpresso
This food truck serves up Mexican snacks, drinks, and coffee. Keep an eye on their Instagram to track where they’ll be parked each day.
Brickyard Coffee
A true family affair, Brickyard Coffee is situated next to Brickyard Bar, owned by the founder’s dad. Don’t miss their pastries (supplied by Lone Pine Bakery), including a cinnamon roll as big as your head.
