SLC Offers Main Street Aid
The Salt Lake City Council approved a $600,000 emergency loan fund to help the businesses damaged by the Main Street fire, offering up to $100,000 each in no-interest loans with five-year terms. City leaders are also considering larger disaster relief loans, pedestrian safety measures, and rental assistance for displaced employees. [KSL]
Plan for New West and Highland High Schools
Salt Lake City School District unveiled designs for $300 million rebuilds of West and Highland high schools. Highland will be fully torn down and rebuilt on its current campus by 2030. West will get a new building across 300 West that preserves its historic facade. [Salt Lake Tribune 🔒]
