What's CITY Talking About?
Riverton Partners With ICE
Riverton has become the first Utah city to sign a 287(g) agreement with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, giving select police officers immigration enforcement powers similar to federal agents. Statewide, this adds to nine county sheriffs’ offices and the Utah Department of Corrections, which have already signed agreements with ICE. [Salt Lake Tribune 🔒]
Big Upgrade for Liberty Park Playground
Salt Lake City is launching a renovation of Rotary Play Park in Liberty Park, closing the playground through summer 2026. The project is funded by the parks bond and development fees. [KSL]
