UDOT Scales Back I-15 Widening Plan
The Utah Department of Transportation has dropped plans to widen I-15 through central Salt Lake City, trimming the project’s budget from $3.7 billion to just under $3 billion and sparing at least 14 homes from demolition. Boys & Girls Club Location to Close
The Lied Boys & Girls Club in Salt Lake’s Poplar Grove is closing due to the loss of more than $2 million in federal funding, leaving many families on the west side without after-school care. [FOX 13]

Salt Lake City International Airport was named the best airport in the U.S. and ranked eighth worldwide in AirHelp’s 2025 report, thanks to its punctual flights and major upgrades. The new $5 billion terminal, opening in phases through 2026, will more than double gate capacity. [Travel + Leisure]
