What's CITY Talking About?
Planned Parenthood Keeps Medicaid Funding
A federal judge ruled that Planned Parenthood of Utah clinics can keep receiving Medicaid reimbursements while they fight a provision in Trump’s tax bill that would have cut off Medicaid funding to abortion providers. Without this funding, hundreds of clinics could close, and over a million patients could lose access to care like birth control, cancer screenings, and STI testing. [ABC 4]
Big Budget Movie Films in Moab
The blockbuster “Zeus” will film in Moab, the only U.S. location for the production and one of the largest the city has ever seen. Its local economic impact is estimated at $2.5 million to $3.5 million. [Moab Times Independent]

Cams Capture Wasatch Wildlife
Since 2018, Sageland Collaborative and the University of Utah’s Wasatch Wildlife Watch have used trail cameras and hundreds of volunteers to capture over 1.2 million wildlife photos. The data has informed trail planning and conservation efforts along the Wasatch Front. [Sageland Collaborative]
