July 28, 2025 · — Ali Vallarta
Hey, Salt Lake! City Cast Salt Lake podcast host Ali Vallarta here, filling in for Terina.
This Friday is 801 Day! A holiday to celebrate the 801 on 8/01. Come party with us from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Gallivan Center. Here are some things I’m most looking forward to:
🎧 A lineup of all women DJs spinning vinyl
🍉 Dancing in the grass with kiddos
🍺 Sipping a beer in the shade
🍦 An ice cream cone while shopping the night market
See you there!

A field fire destroyed two apartment buildings in Millcreek Friday, displacing around 50 people and injuring four firefighters. The blaze started when a lawn mower hit a rock, and winds caused the fire to spread to the Willow Glen apartments.
