End of a Minor League Hockey Era

West Valley City has “reluctantly” approved the sale of the Utah Grizzlies, paving the way for the minor league hockey team to leave the state after nearly 30 years at the Maverik Center. The city plans to keep the arena viable for future events (like the 2034 Winter Olympics) by investing in major renovations. [Salt Lake Tribune]

$53M for the GSL

Utah is set to receive $53 million, largely from previously frozen federal funds, to support the Great Salt Lake. It will go toward water delivery, upgrades to critical infrastructure like the Farmington Bay dam, and conservation projects. [FOX 13]
