Applications for Salt Lake City’s Love Your Block program are open through May 31. These $2,000 mini-grants support resident-led projects that help improve our neighborhoods (think public art, volunteer cleanups, and community gardens). [Salt Lake City]
Mirage, the Miracle Cat
An elderly tabby cat named Mirage miraculously survived a 380-foot fall at Bryce Canyon National Park that tragically claimed the lives of her owners. The cat was only slightly injured but in good spirits and is now receiving care at Best Friends Animal Society’s sanctuary. [Salt Lake Tribune]
