Fleet Block Demolition
Salt Lake City has started demolition on the long-vacant Fleet Block buildings, home to 29 murals depicting people killed by police. The city is selling some parcels to developers and partially redeveloping the block into public green space. [Building Salt Lake]

Quiet Zone Reinstated
The train horns disrupting residents from Ogden to Salt Lake City will soon stop after the Federal Railroad Administration approved a waiver to restore the “Quiet Zone,” contingent on crossing upgrades and the closure of an SLC crossing. [FOX13]
Luxury Train From Denver to SLC
In other train news, the luxury U.S. train formerly known as Rocky Mountaineer is rebranding as Canyon Spirit and adding a route that includes Salt Lake City beginning April 21, 2026.
