School Board Bribery Allegation
Salt Lake City School Board Member Mohamed Baayd has been charged with felony bribery after allegedly attempting to persuade his opponent to drop out of the Precinct 5 election in exchange for future support and a potential board appointment. Baayd won the November election with over 64% of the vote. [FOX 13]
