A Shelter Campus?
Utah’s Homeless Services Board wants a 1,200-bed, 30-acre centralized shelter campus, instead of continuing the state’s approach of 100-200 bed shelters in different communities. The state has allocated $25 million for the facility, so where will it be and when will it open? [City Cast Salt Lake 🎧]
College-Age Population Decline
According to the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute, Utah’s college-aged population is expected to decline around 2032 as the state’s birth rate declines. This falls just behind the national average, which anticipates nearly 3.5 million less college students this year. [Utah News Dispatch]

ACE Applications Open
Applications for Salt Lake City’s Arts, Culture, and Entertainment fund are now open through Friday, Nov. 1. ACE funding helps support events that enrich the city’s culture with grants typically ranging from $1,000-$5,000. Individual residents, neighborhoods, and organizations are encouraged to apply.
