Judge Voids Amendment A
A Utah 3rd District judge has voided Constitutional Amendment A from the November ballot, due to the legislature skipping a constitutional requirement to publish notice about it in a newspaper. The judge cited a recent Utah Supreme Court decision that upheld a lower court's voiding of Amendment D. Although both measures will appear on ballots, the votes won’t count. U of U Baseball at Smith’s Ballpark
The University of Utah baseball team will continue playing at Smith’s Ballpark for the 2025 season, thanks to a partnership between Salt Lake City and the Salt Lake Bees. This allows the U of U to host Big 12 games there until a new, on-campus stadium opens in 2026. [Salt Lake Tribune]

SLC Receives $$$ for Jordan River Police
