Statewide School Phone Ban?

Utah may soon implement a statewide ban on cellphones and smartwatches in public schools starting in March 2025. School districts can opt out and exceptions will be made for emergencies and special needs. A proposed $4.8 million grant will help schools acquire equipment like magnetic locking pouches. A New Allen Park

Salt Lake City’s Allen Park on 1300 East is set for a major renovation guided by a new adaptive reuse and management plan, which aims to preserve its historic charm while enhancing its recreational features. 11:30 a.m. cross the parking lot to the Liberty Park pool deep end

1 p.m. bike to The Pearl for brunch (if Sunday) or Central 9th Market for a sando (if weekday)

2 p.m. bike to a beer on the patio at T.F. Brewing or the roof of Fisher, or hit up whatever local festival/craft market is happening around town
