What's CITY Talking About?

Rising Levels of COVID

Utah’s wastewater has “very high” levels of COVID-19, according to data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Wastewater monitoring can detect traces of infectious diseases in a community even if people are asymptomatic, serving as an early warning of increased risk. [Salt Lake Tribune]

Utah Considers ‘Code Red’

Utah is considering a “code red” law to regulate county responses to extreme heat, similar to the “code blue” law for cold weather. It would require counties to provide cooling areas, water, and shade during dangerously hot weather. [KSL]

MomTok Reality Show

Coming to a small screen near you: “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.” Streaming on Hulu in September, this reality show follows the women behind Utah’s viral “MomTok” scandal. [@secretlivesonhulu/Instagram]
