Local Officials Respond to SCOTUS Homeless Decision
The U.S. Supreme Court ruled Friday that cities can ban people from camping and sleeping in public spaces, regardless of available shelter space. Salt Lake City Mayor’s Office spokesperson Andrew Wittenberg said the city is still reviewing the decision, but “has and will continue to enforce local ordinances” to maintain clean and safe public spaces while working with government partners to provide resources for unhoused people. Tiny Home Village Delayed

8 Liquor Licenses Issued
Eight bars received liquor licenses at the June Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverage Services meeting. Many of the bars have open dates for this summer. Legislative updates mandate that qualifying applicants must be given their license, but there’s only a limited amount of licenses issued in a year. [Gastronomic Salt Lake City]
