Salt Lake City is working on a number of transportation projects including reconfiguring lanes on 1700 S. and 700 E., making those roads a little more bike friendly. On 700 E. expect bike lanes and on 1700 S. expect a designated lane for westbound bikers who currently share a lane with cars. [Salt Lake City]

My County Rec Pass

A friendly reminder to sign your kids up for the My County Rec Pass. It offers free memberships at participating Salt Lake County rec centers for residents ages 5-18. That means free access to swimming pools, ice rinks, climbing walls, and more. [Salt Lake County]

Salt Lake City will have two Pride festivals this year: The annual Utah Pride Festival and a new event, SLC Pride. SLC Pride focuses on being more inclusive, affordable, and less corporate. The Utah Pride Festival will be June 1-2 and SLC Pride is June 27-30. [Salt Lake Tribune]
