Good morning! I’m itching to add fun things to my summer bucket list. What Salt Lake adventures are you looking forward to the most?

What's CITY Talking About?
Walkout at East High
Glendale students and parents who commute to East High School staged a walkout yesterday. The group walked to Glendale Middle School to demonstrate support for a new high school on Salt Lake City’s west side. [City Cast Salt Lake]
- Related: A recent study requested by the Salt Lake City School District suggests a new high school in the area is unlikely due to declining enrollment and a lack of available space. [KUER]

The burden has been on the kids of Glendale to have to get up early in the morning and get on a bus to be bused up to East High and Highland High ... It's an equity issue, and it's been an equity issue for a very long time.
New Music Festival
Salt Lake City is hosting another music festival this fall, brought to you by the people behind Kilby Block Party. It’s called Love Letters Fest, and it’s happening Sept. 27-29 at Library Square. The lineup includes Sky Ferreira and Suki Waterhouse. Tickets will go on sale this Thursday, May 30 at 10 a.m. [@kilbycourt/Instagram]
Sugar House Construction
This is your reminder to support local Sugar House businesses during the ongoing construction on 2100 S. Business owners are struggling to stay afloat with reduced foot traffic and accessibility issues. To help mitigate the impact, the city is offering small business grants. The construction is estimated to last through fall of 2025. [Salt Lake Tribune]

Abravanel Hell, Another Mysterious Fire, and Midtowners Unite
A Salt Lake City building burned down this weekend, right before it was scheduled for demolition — and it’s not even the first time that’s happened. Host Ali Vallarta and executive producer Emily Means put on their tinfoil hats and muse on the importance of fire preparedness. Plus, setting the record straight on Abravanel Hall, the Midtown Business District wants your input, and Utah’s statuesque representation in D.C.
