☀️ The best summer activities for kids
May 17, 2024
Hey, Salt Lake! Are you looking for summer activities for kids? We’ve got some suggestions below.
What's CITY Talking About?
The Pelicans Return
American white pelicans are back on two Great Salt Lake islands this spring. In 2023, the pelicans abandoned Gunnison Island completely (their eggs and chicks, too!) because low lake levels made it easier for predators to reach them. This year, researchers also discovered pelicans on Hat Island for the first time in over 80 years. [Salt Lake Tribune]

Another SLC Reality Show
It looks like Salt Lake City is getting another reality TV show. This time, it features local real estate agents like Jennifer Yeo of Presidio Real Estate. The show will air on Bravo this winter, so expect the usual Bravo drama and ridiculous (read: amazing) background music. [Deseret News, @itseilisepatton/TikTok]

60 Miles Of New Paved Trails

The goal is to create a comprehensive, statewide trail network connecting residents to various destinations based on demand. [FOX 13]
