Hey, Salt Lake! A reader asked, “I am looking for Mother’s Day gifts. My mom likes flowers but LURVES pastries. Are there any local bakeries that do pastry of the month clubs that will deliver to Ogden?”

What's CITY Talking About?
Will They Demolish Abravanel Hall?
The fate of Abravanel Hall, home to the Utah Symphony, is uncertain following Smith Entertainment Group’s plans for a new sports and entertainment district in downtown Salt Lake City. While nothing is set in stone, possibilities could include renovations or demolition to the building. An online petition created to save Abravanel Hall has garnered thousands of signatures from concerned community members advocating for its preservation. [Salt Lake Tribune 🔒]
Reality Check For Reality T.V.
The reality show “60 Days In” filmed its ninth season inside a Utah County Jail. The show puts undercover volunteers in the jail so they can provide insights for improvement. People who are incarcerated have the option to sign a release when being filmed. If they don’t sign, their faces are blurred. The show has raised questions about consent and privacy. Critics argue that it exploits vulnerable individuals and can negatively impact their legal situations. [KUER]
