Airport Exit Delays

If you’re exiting the Salt Lake City airport, expect delays. Access to eastbound I-80 will be closed from the airport due to bridge construction. The detour will take you around via I-80 W and 5600 W. May we suggest taking the TRAX green line instead? Follow the Utah Department of Transportation for updates. [@UDOT/X]

Bomb Threats Over Furries?

Local and federal law enforcement investigated bomb threats targeting Mt. Nebo Middle School in Payson, prompting evacuations and thorough searches of the school. This was the third threat in two weeks following social media outrage that alleged students were dressing up like “furries.” According to school administrators, these allegations are unfounded. Bald Eagle Killer

The Center for Biological Diversity is offering a $10,000 reward for information on the person responsible for illegally shooting a bald eagle in Cedar City. The bird was later euthanized due to its injuries. If you didn’t know, Utah is home to a significant wintering population of bald eagles that are federally protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act and the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act. Pros & Cons of an MLB Team

The district is governed by an unelected board of people mostly appointed by the Governor and Legislature, with only two members from Salt Lake City. So, how is the newly-appointed board member repping the westside assessing potential risks and benefits of this project? [City Cast Salt Lake 🎧]

There's all kinds of threats to the Westside, right? And some of them I think don't come with a potential benefit this big.

What Can Westsiders Get from the MLB Stadium?

A brand new, unelected board will oversee the development of a big project near the Utah State Fairpark, hypothetically anchored by a Major League Baseball stadium. Westside Coalition President Dan Strong, the community representative on the board, joins host Ali Vallarta to talk through the best-case scenario for this neighborhood-altering proposal.

Later, sk8er boi.
