What's CITY Talking About?

Calling All Cowgirls

The Utah Cowgirl Collective is looking for six cowgirls to join their team and participate in the Days of ‘47 Rodeo. Those selected will get a $10,000 scholarship for continued education after completing one year with the collective. [Instagram]

Swerving the Sugar House Drive-Thru Ban

There’s a new Cubby’s Drive-Thru coming to Sugar House despite a recent drive-thru ban by the city. So how did they manage that? For one, it falls slightly outside of the banned area, which covers the business districts between 900 E. and 1300 E. And since it’s replacing an old Pizza Hut, it’s considered a “pre-existing” location. [Salt Lake Tribune]

Beehive Distilling

Sadly, the Beehive Distilling bar in South Salt Lake is closing. Go out and show your support before March 16. Beehive Distilling will remain operational and the bar space will remain open for private party rental. [Instagram]

We are back to city business, and boy, what a week for the Salt Lake City Council! From Tuesday-night chaos to an update on what to do about displaced businesses, City Cast Salt Lake podcast host Ali Vallarta and executive producer Emily Means are here with the scoop. [City Cast Salt Lake 🎧]
