Transgender Bathroom Bill
A bill restricting transgender folks' bathroom use is advancing to the Utah House floor. It would prevent people who have not undergone surgical transitions or legally changed their gender identity on a birth certificate from using bathrooms aligned with their gender in publicly funded places (like schools and domestic violence shelters). Opponents say this bill is discriminatory and puts transgender Utahns at further risk. [KUER]
