🥧 Where to order your holiday meals & pies
November 10, 2023
Hey, Salt Lake! I’m telling you right now, don’t be the person who forgets to pre-order pies, desserts or sides for your holiday dinner. I’ve got a list of ideas below.

What's CITY Talking About?
Syphilis Cases
According to the Salt Lake County Health Department, cases of syphilis in women increased by 800% from 2018 to 2022. Out of those cases, 89% were women of childbearing age (15-44), which brings up concerns about newborn syphilis. If the mother isn’t tested and treated in time, newborn syphilis can cause a number of serious complications. The SLCoHD offers STI testing and treatment. [Salt Lake County Health Department]

Mapping Care for Kids
A report by Voices for Utah Children shows our state’s childcare crisis on a county level. The majority (59%) of Salt Lake County households have all available parents in the workforce, but only 45% of our county’s childcare needs are being met. Check out their map to compare the accessibility and number of programs in each county. [Voices for Utah Children]
