🌽 Where to visit the Reba McEntire corn maze
October 17, 2023
Hey, Salt Lake! You asked us questions, and we’re answering them on the City Cast Salt Lake podcast today. One question we didn’t get to was about photo booths. Do you have a favorite one? I mean, can you even say you’re close to someone if you don’t have a photo strip with them on your fridge?

What's CITY Talking About?

A Very Reba Halloween
Nothing says Halloween like … Reba McEntire? Every year Cornbelly’s in Spanish Fork makes an elaborately themed corn maze. In the past they’ve done American Idol contestant David Archuleta, Utah Jazz player John Stockton, and Sesame Street. Cornbelly’s owns a company called MAiZE that designs mazes for over 300 farms across North America. This year, 40 of them are McEntire-themed. [Salt Lake Tribune]

Medicinal Mushrooms
Former Texas governor Rick Perry met with Utah state legislators to advocate for the legalization of medicinal psilocybin or “magic mushrooms.” Perry highlighted the benefits of plant medicine on post-traumatic stress and brain injuries. Senate Minority Leader Luz Escamilla introduced a bill earlier this year that failed to advance, but she plans to run it again in the 2024 session. [FOX 13]
