🥣 Salt Lake's best soups for warming the soul
October 13, 2023
Good morning! May your weekend be like a bowl of soup — warm and cozy. Scroll down for some of the best in Salt Lake.

What's CITY Talking About?
Road Rage
Road rage is on the rise. In 2017, there were 10 fatalities due to aggressive driving and in 2022 that number more than doubled to 24 fatalities. Now, Utah lawmakers want to clearly define "road rage" so they can make laws to combat it. [Salt Lake Tribune]
Main Street
Salt Lake City is making big moves to turn Main Street into a pedestrian promenade. This comes after the success of Open Streets, a concept that closed down a portion of Main Street to vehicles on the weekends. Community members can vote on four conceptual design ideas. [Salt Lake City]
Tim Ballard
The Tim Ballard saga continues. Multiple women allege in a lawsuit that the Utah-based founder of anti-trafficking organization Operation Underground Railroad sexually assaulted them, and Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes was referenced in the lawsuit as someone who gave Ballard credibility. Reyes says he was unaware of any misconduct or the sexual assault allegations against Ballard. [City Cast Salt Lake 🎧]
