What's CITY Talking About?

Changing Your Name or Gender Marker in Utah

Over 2,000 people in Utah have changed their name or gender marker this year. While the process is easier than some states, it’s still a process. It includes filing various paperwork, attending a hearing, and then updating other institutions (like the DMV and Social Security) of the change. Added costs include legal assistance which can be upwards of $2,400. [Salt Lake Tribune]

MLB Stadium

Big League Utah wants to hear your thoughts on a Major League Baseball Stadium. They’re the coalition behind our state’s attempt to get an MLB team. The survey includes questions about stadium design, ticket pricing, and amenities. It will be open through Sept. 4. [KSL]

City Cast Salt Lake host Ali Vallarta is talking with Ruedigar Matthes, a policy manager for Salt Lake City’s Community and Neighborhoods Department, about the city’s vision for housing.
