Celeste Maloy Stays on the Special Election Ballot
A judge blocked a request to remove Celeste Maloy from running in the special election for Chris Stewart’s 2nd District Congress seat. Richard Quin Denning, a candidate who lost at the GOP convention, sued Maloy alleging she wasn’t eligible to run because she isn’t an active voter and lived in Virginia while working for Congressman Stewart. Thanks to a recent proclamation from Mayor Erin Mendenhall, 801 Day will officially celebrate the best area code ever as a holiday. But what makes the 801 worth celebrating?
