Clever Octopus Closes
Clever Octopus announced on social media that they’ll be closing after eight years in business. The nonprofit resold art and craft supplies to reduce waste. There’s no word whether or not the company’s warehouse or Octopod Mobile Outreach Vehicle will also close. [Salt Lake Tribune]
Great Salt Lake License Plate
You can now show your support for our namesake through your license plate by registering for a Great Salt Lake license plate. It’ll cost $46, and proceeds will go toward preservation and restoration efforts. Once 500 people sign up, the DMV will send out the plates. [Utah Senate Democrats]
Keeping Dogs Safe from Algal Blooms
After six dogs died eating something near a pond at the Lee Kay Public Shooting Range, water quality officials said it was likely some sort of harmful bacteria.
