Good morning! Hey Salt Lake reader Yao M. asks, “I was reading the "Best Salt Lake Bread" section in the newsletter and wondering, how about croissants?
I know a few bakeries that have good croissants, like Forty Three, Tulie, and Eva's. But I wonder if there are other hidden gems at coffee shops or brunch places? Where do people get crunchy and buttery croissants in Salt Lake?”

Male Birth Control
Researchers at the University of Utah are testing a birth control gel for men/sperm-producing people. The ASCENT Center for Reproductive Health, along with seven other sites across the country, have been contracted by the National Institute of Health to study Nestorone-testosterone, a gel that would be applied to the person’s shoulder. The gel would be applied daily and it would take six months for the sperm count to drop to a level low enough to prevent pregnancy. [Salt Lake Tribune]
New West Side Mural
Head to the Rose Park Community Garden to see a new mural by artist Bill Louis. The project was spearheaded by Better Days 2020 and the Salt Lake City Arts Council. It depicts eight influential women who have made an impact on Salt Lake’s west side, both past and present. [KUER]
