The Best Salt Lake Farmers Markets

Utah Farmers Market Network director Chandler Rosenberg shares some of the best farmers markets in the valley.

The Best Salt Lake Farmers Markets

It’s part three of our Summer Entertainment Guide! On City Cast Salt Lake, host Ali Vallarta chatted with Utah Farmers Market Network director Chandler Rosenberg about some of the best farmers markets in the valley.

Downtown Salt Lake City

Chandler says: “I have to say, the downtown Salt Lake City Market is one of the best. It’s one of the biggest markets in the country, even compared to states that have more farms than we do. A lot of states have more markets spread out, we have this one huge market.”

Runs through Oct. 21

Saturdays, 8 a.m.- 2 p.m.

Location: Pioneer Park, 350 W. 300 S.

New Roots Market

Chandler says: “New Roots has two markets, the Sunnyvale Market and the Redwood Market, both great. They have produce that you can't get at any of the other markets, so for sure check those out.”

Sunnyvale

Runs through Oct. 14

Saturdays, 10:30 a.m.- 1:30 p.m.

Location: Sunnyvale Park, 4013 S. 700 W.

Redwood

Runs through Oct. 18

Wednesdays, 4:30-7 p.m.

Location: New Roots Redwood Farm, 3005 Lester St.

Utah Farm Bureau

Chandler says: “The Farm Bureau runs the Murray and South Jordan market. They only have produce if you just want your fruits and vegetables and you’re not interested in the dog goods, the crafts, things like that.”

Murray

Runs July 28-Oct. 28

Fridays and Saturdays, 8 a.m.- 1 p.m.

Location: Murray Park, 296 E. Murray Park Way

South Jordan

Location: South Jordan City Park, 1600 Towne Center Dr.

Wheeler Historic Farm

Chandler says: “I love a Sunday market. You can also walk through the park.”

Runs through Oct 15

Sundays, 9 a.m.- 1 p.m.

Location: Wheeler Historic Farm, 6351 S. 900 E.
