Where To Volunteer Over Winter Break

It’s winter break, y’all. Are you bored in the house (in the house bored)? Why not volunteer? Here are a few ideas to encourage you to peel yourself off the couch (talking to myself here).

Catholic Community Services

Tutor, serve meals at the dining hall, help stock the food pantry, and more at Catholic Community Services.

Food Justice Coalition

The Food Justice Coalition helps address food insecurity in our community. Help with food prep or meal delivery.

Neighborhood House

Neighborhood House offers child and adult care in the Salt Lake Valley.

Salt Lake City Mission

They serve meals to our unhoused neighbors all year long including an annual Christmas Dinner.

Code Blue

Keep an eye out for opportunities to volunteer with the 2nd and 2nd Coalition’s “Code Blue” operations. When temperatures dip, this and other facilities open additional space for unsheltered folks.
