Think of this as your Hey Salt Lake community bulletin board: a dedicated space for volunteer opportunities, resources, fundraisers, and other ways to help your neighbors.

🎂 Record-Breaking Birthday

Help celebrate a neighbor’s 21st birthday in a big way. Katelyn Christensen, who has Down Syndrome, wants to break the world record for most birthday cards received. Mail or drop off your cards by April 29 to the post office at 1123 N Fairfield Road Unit #1454, Layton, Utah 84041-9998.

🚽 Give a Crap

The Utah Arts Festival has a unique opportunity to show you “give a crap” about the arts. Donate $75 and they’ll put your name and a short, personalized message on the inside and outside of a port-a-potty. You’ll also get two tickets to the festival and a commemorative foam port-a-potty.

🫶 Crossroads Urban Center

The Crossroads Urban Center has an unprecedented need for food donations. In March, they provided food to nearly 10,000 people, which is almost a 60% jump from how many people they served in March 2023.
